As we begin this new week, our nation is once again in mourning. Four mass shootings - in Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, and New Orleans - claimed more lives over the weekend, adding to a devastating and familiar pattern of violence. At the same time, our President is preparing to send troops to a fictional security crisis in Portland, suggesting our military should train on the streets of our cities and cutting critical Counter Terrorism and Homeland Security funding to NY by 86%.
